Entertainment Staff

The CornBelters are looking for fun, energetic, outgoing, dedicated and responsible individuals to work for the 2018 Entertainment CREW! Are you an energetic and animated individual who enjoys being the center of attention? Do you enjoy making people laugh with goofy antics? If you’ve answered yes to these questions, we’ve got the position for you.


  • The CornBelters have one mascot, Corny but we are in need of multiple performers to cover game days, community appearances, and special events.
  • Corny performers need to be between 5’10 – 6’0 tall.
  • Gameday performers will need to be able to learn and perform dance choreography in costume.
  • Gameday performers will need to be able to learn skit blocking and be able to portray a large range of emotions while in costume.
  • Appearance mascots will go to sponsor events and be involved in photos, giving hugs and high-fives to attendees. You will also need to be able to emote through the costume.


  • The CREW members are an essential part of each show, prepping contestants and setting props.
  • The CREW greets fans as they enter The Corn Crib and thanks them for attending the game as they leave following each game.
  • The CREW also works as a mascot handler, event lead, and host assistant.
  • The CREW is responsible for leading chants and rallies.
  • The CREW dances on the dugouts and assists with every inning break.


  • The Entertainment Host is the on-field emcee.
  • The Host is a fun, energetic individual with good microphone etiquette.
  • The Host needs to know how to play the crowd, while also working with the on-field camera.


  • Auditions will be coordinated via email once youv'e submitted required documents (location and time slots will be communicated via email)
  • All positions have extensive training.

Game Day Job Opportunities 

The CornBelters job fairs will be held Saturday, April 21st and Saturday, April 28th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at The Corn Crib located at 1000 West Raab Road in Normal. Applicants should park on the northwest corner of the ballpark and enter through the main gates.

  • Stadium Ushers: Assist patrons at entertainment events by collecting admission tickets and passes, assisting in finding seats, and locating specific facilities.
  • Parking Attendants: Serve as the first point of contact for fans visiting The Corn Crib on gamedays, collect payments/passes, and direct vehicle traffic to appropriate parking areas.
  • Kid's Zone Leader: Monitor the Kids Zone(s) and The Corn Crib to ensure kids have a safe and fun environment to play in. Cooks & Food Prep: Prepare food options for the concessions stands, maintain a clean workstation, and assist with nightly closedown and dishes.
  • Concessions Cashiers, Runners, Stockers: Assist guests with food and beverage transactions; pour alcoholic beverages (21+). Fulfill all concessions orders and deliver items to guests while keeping assigned concessions stands stocked with food and drinks. Must be able to lift 30-60lbs and climb up/descend stairs multiple times per game.
  • Suite Servers and Attendants: Assist suite guests with food and beverage orders, including set up and cleaning of suites before/after games.
